NV students get suspended over Marijuana

In northern Nevada the school’s principal suspended 12 students at a middle school for posting pro-marijuana signs on campus.  Doesn’t the principal know about the first Amendment?

Two men convicted in Pa

November 19th, 2010

Two men from Florida were stopped in a stolen tractor-trailer carrying more than three tons of marijuana.  They have been convicted of federal drug charges in Pennsylvania.  Eric Emmanuel, 35, and Stanley Narcisse, 36, was convicted of conspiracy and drug-distribution charges.

2 Arrests and 41lbs of Marijuana Seized

A Durrant traffic stop led to the seizure of 41 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of two men who possessed it by local authorities.  Durant police stopped the car on U.S. 75 and Choctaw Road.  When the police walked up tot the car they smelled the marijuana in the car.  A drug dog was called in to confirm the presence of the drugs in the vehicle.

AZ may see more Marijuana Operations

If you haven’t been watching the news or reading the news on the internet then you have been missing out that Arizona has become the 15th state to legalize medical marijuana.  People have been waiting for the rules to go in place so they can open up a dispensary.  Arizona will have 124 dispensaries in total throughout the state.

Border Patrol in another Seizure

Agents assigned to the Willcox Station seized 565 pounds of marijuana, valued at more than $454,000 on the street.  It appeared to the agents that the semi was trying to circumvent the checkpoint.  When they finally questioned the driver he couldn’t produce any documentation or explain why he was near that area.

Build a Casino or Medical Marijuana Farm?

The bay area in California has some thinking to do about a 400-Acre plot of land that is vacant.  Voters in Richmond, California gave the thumbs-down to a non-binding resolution on proposed casino.

3 Marijuana Operation seized in Calgary

November 17th, 2010

Authorities seized more than 1,800 marijuana plants from three separate grow operations in Calgary with the first bust being as far back as Nov. 4th.  Health officials have condemned the houses used to produce and run the grow operations and police say the value of the homes estimated out to be $2.4 million.

Virginia discusses ban of synthetic Marijuana

The Virginia State Crime Commission is discussing whether the state should join the nine other states that have banned the substance known as Spice, medical marijuana.  The commission reports that the use of the synthetic marijuana is on the rise nationally to be banned.  Virginia is contemplating banning the dangerous drug of Spice due to the fact people have been dying from the drug.  There are 70 known reports in the state this year alone.

Seminar to push for Medical Marijuana

About 15 people slipped behind a partitioned-off section of a downtown Fort Worth restaurant to hear Dallas police Officer Nick Novello and others support the legalization of marijuana.  Novello said, “The war on drugs today has left carnage.”

Medical Marijuana in RI

November 15th, 2010

In Providence, R.I. twenty-one applicants have applied to the state to run one of three medical marijuana centers that the state has agreed to open for patients with chronic illness or debilitating pain.  The deadline to file the applications was Friday at noon.  This was right after the state announced that none of the previous 15 applicants qualified.
