Mr. Nice has to use fake Marijuana Scenes

Mr. Nice is a story of the rise of a drug smuggler named Howard Marks and the character eventually becomes imprisoned in the U.S. inside of the 1980s.  Rhys Ifans is the person who is playing Mr. Marks in the movie.

Bernard Rose, the director, said, “In Wales, where we shot half the film, it is illegal to smoke a cigarette on a movie set.”  “So in Wales we had very elaborate special effects devices to simulate smoking, I kid you not!”

Rose added: “Personally I think smoking marijuana is very dangerous and it’s something I don’t do, but I also feel the same way about alcohol, I don’t drink either.  I think this is a personal matter and not how everyone feels.

The film also features Chloe Sevigny, David Thewlis, and Omid Djalili.  The film will be released in the UK on Friday.

I think people should just realize that sometimes you need the real thing no matter what the law is.  They should have just allowed them to shoot the scene and go.  Marijuana is a plant from the earth and is natural that causes no deaths and people who support that shouldn’t be treated this way.
