Fromer LSU linebacker and former NFL player, Ali Highsmith, was arrested last week on possession of marijuana. He was arrested in Baton Rouge. Highsmith played for the Tigers from 2004-2007 then went onto play for the Arizona Cardinals.
Highsmith, 25, was arrested early in the morning Friday after letting Baton Rouge detectives and State Police search his home at Linkwood Court. Authorities found two pounds of marijuana in his refrigerator, a vaporizer, and a grinder inside his home. The estimated street value of the marijuana was between $23,000 and $24,000, said Sgt. Don Kelly.
Highsmith was arrested and taking to Parish Prison on one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. First mistake was that he let the police search his house with no warrant.
